Nematicides are used to eliminate plant-parasitic nematodes and are majorly delivered in two forms, namely, contact nematicides and fumigants. Contact nematicides are applied during the planting process whereas fumigants are applied to the soil few weeks before the planting process. Fumigants and contact application treatments are the most effective preventive measures taken against attacks to plant roots from nematodes.
