Report Summary:
Strategy Analytics conducted a UX benchmark study of the 2017 Honda Civic with Android Auto and CarPlay. Radio tuning and presetting was surprisingly difficult for first-time users. The navigation system featured a familiar UI but user feedback was mixed. The embedded speech system’s requirement to state and confirm the feature category led to mass confusion and errors. CarPlay and Android Auto were extremely well-received, but implementation issues seen in other benchmarks were repeated. These issues led to a middling-to-lower-end IVX score for usability.
