This report presents the findings of Strategy Analytics’ User Evaluation of the InkaNet in-vehicle infotainment system, conducted in April 2012 in Shanghai, China. The Android-based InkaNet system utilizes iVoka, a natural language speech recognition not unlike Apple’s Siri, which provided a compelling user experience for participants. Handwriting recognition, a wide array of connected services, and an app store results in InkaNet providing a more complete and compelling user experience for vehicle connectivity. However, there is still significant room for improvement as iVoka has difficulty in recognizing regional dialects and does not yet provide control for all functionality.
