Strategy Analytics surveyed consumers in the US, Western Europe, and China regarding their interest in hybrid and electric vehicles. Consumers are more willing to consider hybrids in all regions than they are a luxury sedan, but are much less willing to consider electric vehicles. Range anxiety is still a major concern across almost all age groups in all regions. For hybrids, issues regarding initial purchase price, concerns over actual fuel savings, and repair costs are concerns which vary across regions and age groups.
